Albany is a new luxury resort community in The Bahamas that will celebrate the very best in island living. Nestled among 565 oceanfront acres on the island of New Providence, Albany is being developed by Tavistock Group, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. Scheduled to open in early 2010, Albany will be defined by its setting, architecture, services and amenities designed for the entire family to enjoy. Built to accommodate mega-yachts up to 240 feet, the 71-slip mega-yacht marina will rival the great resort ports of the world. The marina provides complete dock services and hassle-free care including a state-of-the-art floating concrete dock system, high-tech communication systems at each slip and one-touch dialing for access to resort amenities and services.
Petroleum Marine Consultants has been contracted to provide a Design-Build project engineered by our Florida Registered Engineer, with the recommended installation practice based on NFPA 30,30A, NEC,PEI/RP1000 & PEI/RP200-03.
The Marina Fuel facility will consist of one (2) UL-142 double wall 12,000 gallon diesel and one (1) UL-142 double wall split compartment 6000 diesel and 6,000 gasoline.Above storage tanks within an engineered concrete containment area. Off loading of fuel will be accomplished using a Simplex Marine Smart Pump system.
The diesel fuel delivery system will consist of one (1) 3” Innovative Petroleum Products double wall product piping from the two (2) designated diesel fuel tank storage compartments tanks to two (2) High Speed PMC Fuel House dispensers located on Bellingham Unifloat designated fuel dock.
High Speed Diesel dispensing at 75gpm will to be delivered using site specific connections to specific vessels that are equipped to accept fuel at this rate. The additional one (1) diesel dispensers will provide fueling at the rate of 35 gpm with traditional nozzles.
The gasoline fuel delivery system will consist of onshore one (1) 3” IPP reducing to 2” IPP over the water piping. The double wall product piping from the designated gasoline fuel tank to one (1) PMC-510 single product gasoline dispensers located on the upland adjacent to a Bellingham floating dock system.
