The calm ocean waterways of The Bahamas attract boaters from around the world. Recognizing the need for a secure full service marina large enough to handle pleasure craft of every size, the spectacular 45 acre deepwater facility Emerald Bay Marina Village was born.

Working in conjunction with Shell Bahamas and Emerald Bay, Petroleum Marine Consultants, LLC. was contracted to design and install a “one of a kind” marina fuel system. Petroleum Marine Consultants, LLC was chosen due to our earned reputation as the premier Marina Fuel Facility Contractor in the world.

The client requested a State-of -the-Art facility with the capability and range to fuel pleasure crafts and mega-yachts at 35-gpm to 150 gpm .
Location, diversity of clients, and budget, were a few of the key points that created obstacles for our design team. Our 30 years of experience, communication and input from the client, and our hands on approach, lead us to decide that the client would require the following.
Fuel Storage consists of one (1) 25,000 Mogas and three (3) 30,000 diesel Aboveground Storage tanks. Four (4) Fe Petro five (5) hp submersible pumps, tank siphoning, and a piping manifold at the tank field will provide the ability to deliver fuel as required by the client. To meet the flow rate requirements for high speed fueling, 4” extra lined secondary contained UPP piping is installed for diesel and mogas fuel carrier piping.

One (1) PMC FH-510, One (1) PMC FH-515, and Five (5) PMC CMD-1500 Fuel house dispensers were chosen as the dispenser of choice. PMC is the only marine grade dispenser that is fully stainless steel w/aluminum internal piping and weather proof electronic displays. Four (4) dispensers will be installed on fixed piers and three(3) dispensers will be installed on a Bellingham floating dock system. All high speed fueling locations will have Camvalock connection fittings to assure environmental compliance and a safety.

A Pmeumercator TMS-300 is installed for AST tank management with EPA-compliant in-tank and line leak detection. The TMs-3000 was chosen over other monitoring systems for four reasons; Simplicity, Sophistication, Versatility, and Reliability.
