Just
beyond the energy and excitement of Miami
lies Coconut Grove, a tropical paradise overlooking
the tranquil waters and colorful harbor of
South Florida’s Biscayne Bay.
The
upgrade to the existing +50 slip marina was
just a part of the multi million dollar renovation
to the property. Price was an important issue,
but dealing with a small contractor with our
experience and knowledge in this specialized
field alleviated at least one worry for the
client during this large project.

Communication
and input with the owners engineer provided
the ground work for the implantation of the
state of the art site specific marine fueling
system. The installation of one (1) compartmented
24,000 gallon Eultron double wall storage
tank system provide an abundance of storage
with a financial savings to the client. The
tank holds 12,000 gallons diesel, 8000 gallons
low grade gasoline, and 4000 gallons high
octane gasoline.
FePetro
variable speed submersible pumps were installed
in each fuel storage compartment with mechanical
leak detectors. Environ 2” and 3”
Geoflex M pipe was chosen to supply the fuel
to our dispensing system. Our design team
had the vision and knowledge to engineer a
fueling system that would include eight (8)
fueling positions with two diesel positions
with +35 gpm. One (1) PMC single product dual
hose and three (3) PMC dual product dual hose
dispensers were chosen for fuel delivery.

A
Veeder root TLS -350 will handle all compliance
monitoring. The client also requested that
all sales be authorized and recorded at one
single area. Our experience told us that the
most reliable and accurate system for this
application would be the installation of a
TMS 800F Plus.
As
with all our projects; working with a small
full service marine fuel contractor enabled
the client to influence decisions, reduce
construction costs, and meet all required
deadlines; for a fuel facility that stands
alone amidst “The Grove.”
