Marathon Marina
Marathon Marina is the first marina when entering the Boot Key Harbor Channel, port-side, between green markers 7 & 9. Latitude 24* 42’0” and Longitude 81* 07’3” There is 24-hour security for the marina & boat yard. We can accommodate over 100 vessels up to 125′ for short term or long-term dock-age and storage. Leave your boat here in Paradise when you head back north.
Petroleum Marine was contracted to install a new Marina Fuel System in conjunction with the newly installed fixed docks. The marina layout called for High Speed fueling at multiple locations on separate docks. The client requested at time of construction to be the first marina in The Florida Keys to dispense diesel fuel at 50 gpm. This flow arte will be achieved at one location on the North dock and additional two (2) locations on the same dock at 35 gpm. On the South Dock Pier on opposite side of the basin diesel is dispensed at one fueling position at 35gpm.
Pump Measure Control Fuel House Cabinet dispensers were the delivery dispenser of choice. To achieve the calculated flow rates Fe Petro 5hp 3-phase submersible pumps were installed within the 10,000 gallon diesel underground storage tank. 3” double wall piping was installed underground and under the fixed pier to a total of three (3) diesel fuel dispensers. Pump Measure Control FH Cabinet dispensers were the delivery dispenser of choice.
Remote dispenser readouts were installed for ease of operation while fueling multiple vessels. Fe Petro 5hp 3-phase submersible pumps were installed within the 10,000 gallon gasoline underground storage tank. 2” double wall piping was installed underground and under the fixed pier to a total of three (3) gasoline fuel dispensers. The client requested to dispense gasoline on both the North dock and additionally on the South Dock Pier on opposite side of the basin. Both gasoline dispenser fuel vessels at 15gpm .
Again for gasoline Pump Measure Control Fuel House Cabinet dispensers were the delivery dispenser of choice.
- Marathon Marina and Boatyard can lay claim to be one of the few to operate a marina fuel delivery system to dispense diesel fuel to vessels at a rate that would truly be considered “High Speed Fueling”.
